Electric taxis at the airport
Electric transport is a hot item

Electric transport is a hot item and has been on the rise in recent years. Schiphol also pays the necessary attention to this. Schiphol Airport has been making its contribution since 2012 by making room for more electric taxi transport from the airport.

It is a lot in the news so you probably have not missed it. The environment is deteriorating and daily transport also stimulates this development.

As a professional taxi company we also try to respond to this and we can proudly announce that we have taken significant steps in making our vehicles more sustainable. At the moment more than 80% of our Schiphol taxis are electric. Only for longer distances we can not yet use electric taxis. For these longer distances and group transport, use is currently being made of economical diesel taxis.

From 2025 onwards, the municipality of Amsterdam only wants to allow electric taxis at the sites in the city. It is already the case that older cars and diesels are being turned away in the inner city of several large cities.

Our goal is to drive exclusively electric by 2020 and therefore to provide all Schiphol Taxis with electrical systems. This applies to both taxis from Schiphol airport and taxis to Schiphol.
